32 years of Hyundai in Malta with Meridian Enterprises

Meridian Enterprises was recently commended after having successfully represented the Hyundai brand in Malta for 32 years. This is one of the longest representational collaborations for Hyundai in Europe after Belgium which has been importing Hyundai cars for about 35 years.

This anniversary was marked recently by Hyundai Motor Europe during a ceremony at HME's Frankfurt headquarters. During this event, B.K Rhim, President of Hyundai Motor Europe presented Francesca Mamo, Managing Director of Meridian Enterprises with a commemorative plaque to mark the collaboration which started way back in 1981.

The plaque, "to express gratitude for 32 years of dedicated partnership" carries the personal signature of Tak Uk Im, Executive Vice President & COO and Head of International Operations Division of Hyundai Motor Company.

"It is a very rewarding milestone for us at Meridian Enterprises, importers and distributors of Hyundai cars in Malta. It's been a fantastic journey which has brought us in touch with a very wide clientele of loyal customers. And loyalty is something we appreciate in our customers because it is not only about owning a Hyundai but also about believing in the ideals that Hyundai stands for today namely true quality, safety, comfort and top design," said Francesca Mamo upon her return back to Malta.

"Hyundai in fact has come along way from the earlier days. Although I joined the company in 1996, I still remember the first Hyundai models reaching Malta namely the Hyundai Stellar and the Hyundai Pony. Later came the Hyundai Accent and the Sonata which fuelled more growth and popularity for the brand in Malta."

Today, Hyundai boasts an all-encompassing range of models composed of the i10, i20, i30, ix20, the i40 and the ix35.
