Seat sale swells Air Malta's bookings

Air Malta’s online bookings tripled after the first five days of it's seat sale offering 25% discount on flights to 23 destinations.

In the first five days of Air Malta's seat sale, the national airline tripled its online bookings. Last Sunday the airline launched a 25% discount campaign on 23 of its destinations.

Philip Saunders, Air Malta's Chief Commercial Officer explained how the UK routes proved to be the most popular, with Germany, Italy and France also registering high numbers of bookings. Travelers can choose dates spread over a nine-month term ending in June 2014. The sale ends on Sunday 6 October at 11:59pm.

At par with the seat sale, Air Malta also launched an international advertising campaign across the company's network. The advertising campaign includes online portals, radio and print including international papers like Le Figaro, The Guardian, The Observer, Evening Standard, Bild, La Repubblica, La Sicilia and Corrierre della Sera.

The seat sale together with the advertising campaign boosts Air Malta's continuous work to remain the top contributor to Malta's constantly growing tourism industry, Saunders concluded.
