Christmas decorations light up Republic Street
Republic Street Business Community Association (RSBCA) inaugurates new decorations for Republic Street.
Yesterday evening, the Republic Street Business Community Association (RSBCA) inaugurated the new decorations for Malta's main shopping venue, Republic Street.
Economy Minister Chris Cardona, led the event, wishing the business community a successful Christmas season.
During his speech, RSBCA President Paul Fenech said this was the 26th year that the RSBCA Committee was taking upon itself the challenge of selecting decorations to adorn Malta's main shopping street, Republic Street.
Fenech said the new administration continued to provide support to ensure that the entrance to our capital city is adequately decorated and well lit for the festive season. Valletta's business community is organising special events for the Christmas period, including activities as well as a lottery with daily prizes to be won to all those shopping in the capital city.
Fenech expressed his appreciation to the Government for having accepted the Association's long standing proposal to allow free parking in Valletta from 1 December onwards, between Mondays and Fridays after 2pm and all day on Saturday.
