Uniblue raises €2,000 for the Ursuline Sisters
Software development company Uniblue has recently raised funds to the tune of €2,000 in aid of the Ursuline Sisters of St Angela Merici.
The funds will go towards sponsoring a child's Christmas, of which Angela House currently hosts 27, all aged between three and 19.
The initial amount raised was €1,060, which the company then chose to double. "Few of us realize just how difficult the Ursuline Sisters' work is," commented Uniblue CEO Christopher Bolin. "They face difficulties of all sorts on a daily basis, but the love they have for these children is more than enough to keep them going. We wanted to recognize their efforts and give them something to smile about this Christmas." The company also donated a fully-equipped PC for the children at Angela House to enjoy.
Expenses at Angela House can run into €800 a day, with food and utility bills to consider as well as normal running costs. This Christmas, the Ursuline Sisters are appealing for extra funds owing to the works the home is undergoing, with two of the 6 apartments that make up the home being fully refurbished at the cost of €400,000 each. Anyone who wishes to contribute to the Ursuline Sisters can make donations to BOV account 4001 0995 356 or HSBC account 085 031466 002.
