GlobalCapital director Joseph Zrinzo resigns, appointed BOV director

The board of directors of GlobalCapital plc has announced the resignation, effective 31 December, 2013, of Joseph Zrinzo.

GlobalCapital reported that Zrinzo had taken up a position on the board of directors of Bank of Valletta, and that his resignation would avoid any conflict of interest that could arise.

A new director on the BOV board is Mario Grima, who retired from BOV in 2011 after a career spanning 37 years. His last role was Executive Head Operations. Grima also sits on the board of the Malta Freeport Corporation.

Joseph M Zrinzo is the managing director of a group of family companies as well as other local companies.
