MIA posts €10.7m profit, appoints new chairman

Andreas Schadenhofer has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Malta International Airport plc with effect as of Thursday March, 17 2011. Schadenhofer replaces Karin Zipperer who resigned from her position as Chairman and Director last January.

The company has proposed a net gross dividend of €0.03,5 per share after reporting a full year profit of €10.7 million.

The Board of Directors has meanwhile approved the financial statements of the Company for the financial year ended 31^st December 2010. A preliminary statement of annual results was also published in terms of the Malta Stock Exchange listing rules.

The Directors have also scheduled the Annual General Meeting of the Company for Thursday May 5, 2011. Shareholders on the registry of members at the Central Securities Depository as at close of business on the 5^th April 2011 shall be eligible to receive notice, attend and vote at the AGM and to receive a copy of the annual report with the notice.
