RE/MAX Malta registers excellent results in 2010

In what was a difficult year for the real estate industry in Malta, RE/MAX Malta recently announced at their annual general meeting that the company registered an increase in sales and lettings by twelve percent.

The event, held at the Hilton Malta marked their sixth year of company growth with the company also winning an International Award for per capita increase of size of network by RE/MAX International.

Kevin Buttigieg, Managing Director of RE/MAX Malta, made the opening address to the 140 associates, managers and staff which was followed by a detailed presentation of company’s  financial performance  by the General Manager of RE/MAX Malta, Mr. Joseph P. Theuma. 

The performance in 2010 showed that RE/MAX’s presence in the first time buyer market was consolidated with over 50% of their sales in that market, whereas the remainder of their sales were split between customers downsizing or upsizing together with sales in the high end market. During the past year, RE/MAX also opened 3 new offices and registered an increase of their sales force by approximately 30%. 

Theuma said: “We are proud of our achievements for2010 and we are certain that in 2011 the company will continue to mature and further strengthen its position as the number one real estate agency in Malta”.

The meeting came to an end with the annual awards ceremony to the top performing associates and office. These included top selling office, RE/MAX Tigne, Sliema, under the guidance of Mark Micallef and Paul Sammut, top selling office, per capita, RE/MAX Central, Birkirkara, under the guidance of James Busuttil, top listing associate for letting, Sue Carabott, top listing associate for sales, Nicky Camilleri, top sales associate – number of promise of sale signed, Roderick Cucciardi, top letting associate, Lorraine Bonnici and top sales associate, Mark Schembri.
