Malta Enterprise, Maltese embassies promoting Malta as an ‘investment location’

Local businesses participating in a business delegation in Belgium and the Netherlands organised by Malta Enterprise reported good prospects and shall be following up on their leads to ensure a positive outcome.

The business delegation was organised with the support of the Maltese Embassies and other organisations in the two countries, as well as entities including the Ministry of Finance, the Economy and Investment, the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, the General Retailers and Traders Union, the Gozo Chamber of Commerce, and FinanceMalta.

During the Business Forum held first in Amsterdam and then two days later in Brussels, presentations highlighting the trade and investment opportunities in Malta were given by Malta Enterprise Executive Chairman Alan Camilleri, Bruno L’ecuyer, the Head of Business Development of Finance Malta, and Tancred Tabone, the Vice-President of the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry.

During the same event, senior managers from Buck Consultants and Crimsonwing plc gave details of Malta’s attractiveness as an investment location, the latter by giving a testimonial on the company’s operations in Malta.

In the Dutch capital, a networking event was also organised in collaboration with the Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce.

The business delegation then moved to Brussels, where besides the Business Forum a Matchmaking event was held in collaboration with the Brussels Enterprises Commerce and Industry (BECI) and the EEN Brussels office.

In both cities, companies participating in the business delegation – which amongst others included companies from the financial services, conference and incentives travel, food and beverages and ICT sectors - were also assisted to hold one-to-one meetings with Dutch and Belgian entrepreneurs.
