Local designer awarded European honours for good practice

MHRA member Mario Cassar chosen as ‘outstanding Grundtvig In Service Training Participant’.

The Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association (MHRA) has commended Mario Cassar, Managing Director of Incorporated Design, for being chosen as an outstanding Grundtvig In Service Training Participant during a Good Practice Award Ceremony organised by the European Union Programmes Agency (EUPA) for the period 2007 - 2013.

Cassar together with another nine MHRA members participated in a Grundtvig In Service Training programme facilitated by MHRA and lead by eFM, a leading international firm specialised in facilities management.

MHRA President Paul Bugeja said MHRA will strengthen its collaboration with EUPA to further promote the opportunities for life-long training that are available through EU funding amongst its members.

Head of EUPA Robert Debono said this collaboration with MHRA was "encouraging especially in the communication process that his office is currently spearheading to promote the new ERASMUS + programme".

Cassar thanked MHRA and EUPA for facilitating the process for him to participate in this programme in Rome led by eFM as professionals in the field of Facilities Management.

As part of the programme, together with his colleagues, Cassar visited the European Space Agency and Finservizzi, the agency responsible for all train stations in Italy.
