Valletta Cruise Port wins a brace of awards

Valletta Cruise Port was awarded the Cruise Insight’s award for ‘Best Turnaround Port Operations’ for the third consecutive year, as well as the ‘Best Destination Experience’ for 2013.

The awards were published and presented last week to Joseph Zammit Tabona, Chairman of Valletta Cruise Port, and John Portelli, Chief Executive Officer, during the annual Cruise Shipping Convention in Miami, Florida.

As in previous years, Valletta Cruise Port was responsible for the Malta and Gozo stand at the Seatrade Cruise Shipping Convention in Miami, which included delegates from the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) and the Ministry for Gozo. Also present were local agents Mifsud Brothers Limited and SMS International Shore Operations.

Transport Malta contributed as sponsors.

In a statement, Valletta Cruise Port expressed its appreciation to its staff, local agents, the MTA, Transport Malta and other stakeholders who were also working in conjunction with the company to further develop the cruise sector in Malta.
