Grixti moved from ETC chairman to Appogg chief executive
New Chief Executive Officer for the Foundation for Social Welfare Services
Alfred Grixti has taken up the post of CEO at the Foundation for Social Welfare Services.
The Foundation gathers under its wing the social welfare group of agencies Appoġġ, Sapport and Sedqa.
Grixti was formerly chairman of the Employment and Training Corporation.
Alfred Grixti is an educator by profession. He furthered his studies at the University of Malta and obtained a post graduate diploma and a Masters in industrial relations and management from Oxford University.
Grixti is also a Fellow of the prestigious Salzburg Seminar and was, for this last year, appointed as Chairman of the Employment and Training Corporation and also currently serves as Zebbug mayor.
The Foundation offers a wide spectrum of services aimed towards children, families and individuals in need. It includes a workforce of 750 dedicated staff and around 200 volunteers and operates a social welfare budget of over €17.5 million.
