Blair enforcer Alastair Campbell for Malta conference
EY hosts Tony Blair’s right-hand man at 10th edition of Malta Attractiveness Survey national conference
Top accountancy firm EY will host Alastair Campbell, formerly right-hand man to British prime minister Tony Blair, for a conference marking the 10th edition of its Malta attractiveness survey on the 8th October.
Featuring Malta’s top decision-makers in the public and private sectors and high-profile international speakers, ‘50 years of FDI – Looking forward’ will focus on foreign direct investment in Malta, how the scenario has changed over the years and future prospects.
For over a decade the annual EY survey has been a watershed, widely recognised by business leaders, the media and major public stakeholders as a key source of insights into FDI in Malta.
“For a decade we have been offering a platform for key decision makers to discuss the crucial issues driving Malta’s attractiveness for foreign direct investment. The event has now become a yearly national appointment for all concerned, a sell-out with demand for participation increasing year-on-year,” EY country managing partner Ronald Attard said.
“We are now taking the conference up another notch with a line-up of over 50 speakers Joseph Muscat, Simon Busuttil, Poland's former prime minister Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz, and Alastair Campbell who is one of the most in-demand speakers on the global circuit today.”
Campbell is best known for his role as Tony Blair’s spokesman and director of communications and strategy. Still active in politics in Britain and overseas, he now splits his time between writing, speaking, charitable fundraising, consultancy and campaigns. He has written ten books in the past seven years, including six volumes of diaries, three novels, and a personal memoir on depression and the pursuit of happiness.
The event is being held in partnership with the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry and is supported by BOV, FinanceMalta, HSBC, Huawei, the Lotteries and Gaming Authority and Malta Enterprise.
