Industrial production down by 4.2% in July

Seasonally adjusted industrial production decreased by 4.2% in July when compared to the previous June, the National Statistics Office said. When compared to July 2013, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went down by 0.3%.

In July, the overall index of industrial production decreased by 4.2 per cent to 93.9 points. Decreases were registered in the production of consumer goods (-3.1%), intermediate goods (-2.1%) and energy (-1.3%). On the other hand, the production of capital goods went up by 1.5%.

When compared to July 2013, the index of industrial production went down by 0.3%. Decreases were registered in the production of intermediate goods (-4.7%) and energy (-3.3%). On the other hand, the production of capital goods and consumer goods went up by 7.4% and 2.7% respectively
