Parliamentary Secretary for Economic Growth Jose Herrera praises Portomasogaming's new digital live casino and reiterates government's plans to transform Malta into a 'gaming hub'
Portomasogaming have launched a new digital platform for its live casino and studio, which are now combined into one product, following an investment of €500,000. This investment created 25 new job opportunities in Malta with the company.
Parliamentary Seretary for Economic Growth José Herrera said that this investment augurs well for the government’s plans to transform Malta a gaming hub.
“Our efforts will continue to strengthen Malta’s potential in this industry,” Herrera said. “We believe that with the advent of Gaming Malta and the Gaming Academy, this potential will increase further,”
Portomasogaming’s new platform offers a complete bonus system, a new studio roulette with an interactive background, high definition streaming and a dynamic games lobby. With this investment, Portomasogaming hope to tap into the mobile games sector which is a relatively new sector in the gaming industry that contributes significantly towards internet based products usage.
“The new technology employed is compatible with all browsers and operating systems,” Portomasogaming’s directors said. “Moreover, all streams are broadcast in high definition for a better experience all around.”
Portomasogaming started operating in the remote gaming business seven years ago and was the first company to offer two live games, roulette and Punto Banco from the Portomaso Casino. In 2010, Portomasogaming started to produce random number generation games and added 12 new games.
Work on the new casino platform started in 2012 with an interactive blackjack studio. The platform now also includes live casino roulette, live studio roulette, automatic roulette, live studio blackjack, 60 RNG games and Punto Banco.
