Malta and Algeria sign air services agreement
This agreement could open up more Algerian airports to Air Malta.
Malta, through the Civial Aviation Directorate of Transport Malta, has concluded an Air Services Agreement and signed a new memorandum of understanding with Algeria that supersedes an earlier memorandum of understanding signed in 1982.
The agreement was finalised with the Director of the Civil Aviation and Meterology of Algeria, Smain Youcef Azzi during a visit to Malta.
Charles Pace, on behalf of Transport Malta's Civil Aviation director general George Borg Marks, said that this agreement brought about an enhanced open market between Malta and Algeria and that Air Malta can benefit due to more Algerian airports open for it than just Algiers.
