GlobalCapital plc announces appointment of Group Financial Controller

GlobalCapital plc has announced that Shawn Bezzina has been appointed Group Financial Controller of the company with immediate effect.

Bezzina joined the company as financial controller in October 2008. During this period, Bezzina assisted the former Chief Financial Officer and actively contributed to the maintenance of a sound finance operation.

In his new role, Bezzina will lead the company’s overall finance and control functions. He will be responsible to ensure the company’s adherence to the regulated environment within which the company operates. Bezzina’s professional competence brings added value to GlobalCapital’s senior management team.

Bezzina is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Member of the Malta Institute of Accountants. 

Meanwhile, the Malta Financial Services Authority has also approved the appointment of Reuben Zammit as Chief Executive Officer of GlobalCapital plc and the operating regulated subsidiaries namely, GlobalCapital Life Insurance Limited, GlobalCapital Health Insurance Agency Limited and GlobalCapital Financial Management Limited.
