GO employees enjoy Comino trek
Employees from GO, together with their family and friends braved recent bad weather and ventured to Comino for a day of trekking.
Despite the conditions, they were still able to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and visit some of the historical sites dotted across the island. Organised by the GO Sports Committee, the trekking event provided an opportunity for employees to enjoy a stress-free, fun day with colleagues away from their work environment.
GO’s Sports Committee is committed on an ongoing basis to organising different events for staff members from across the company. The primary scope of the Committee is to encourage and support the development of sports particularly at employee level and focusing on corporate initiatives that blend sport with culture, education and other basic concepts.
Ayrton Caruana, Chief Human Resources Officer at GO, said, “GO’s primary aim is to make sure we give customers the best possible service. To deliver on this aim, it is extremely important that employees feel that they are part of a great team. The GO Sports Committee, through the different activities it organises, plays an important role in helping employees to get to know – and bond – with each other.”
“The day out in Comino – including a 9-kilometre trek – was another success story and our employees commented that they had a really good time as they had a great chance to relax and chill out completely!”
GO’s Chief Human Resources Officer stressed that: “The trekking experience will undoubtedly contribute to our continuing efforts to further reinforce our team, helping GO to deliver a better future for both employees and customers.”
