CSB Advocates launches Austrian Desk
Peter Binder has been appointed CSB Advocates' new attorney-at-law
CSB Advocates has announced that Austrian lawyer Peter Binder has been appointed as their new ‘Of Counsel’ and that the firm recently launched its Austrian Desk.
The launch of this specialized department enables Malta-based businesses and individuals to co-ordinate the assertion of their legal claims and rights in Austria or to apply for the enforcement of Maltese or other EU court judgements as well as arbitral awards in Austria.
Binder is admitted as Rechtsanwalt (Attorney-at-Law) under Austrian law and is registered to practice in Malta under this home country title.
He has worked in several top law firms in Austria, for the United Nations (UNCITRAL), for various European universities as lecturer and as law reform consultant advising governments on the implementation of modern arbitration and alternative dispute resolution laws whereby international commercial arbitration is a further area of his expertise.
According to Binder "the imminent closure of the Austrian embassy in Malta means it is going to be more important both for Austrians based in Malta to have direct access to professionals they are familiar with in order to assist them locally as well as for all Malta based clients to have access to a local contact for any legal actions in Austria."
CSB Advocates is consistently recognized as a leading boutique business law firm in Malta, providing deep legal, regulatory, commercial and practical insight to a predominantly international client base.
The firm’s expertise spans across the areas of company law, financial services regulations, hedge fund registration, banking and finance, employment, technology, shipping and tax law. On the private client side of the practice, it advises on trust and estate planning, residence, citizenship and personal tax solutions.
