Gozitan Quaint Boutique Hotel chain opens second establishment

Following on from the success of the first Quaint Boutique Hotel in Nadur, the Gozitan chain, Quaint Boutique Hotels, recently inaugurated its second establishment.

Located in the heart of the village on Xewkija’s St John the Baptist Square, the hotel is the first of five new hotels that will be opened over the next two years.

The new, Quaint Hotel Xewkija is a 10-room hotel set up to the same standards as the Nadur Hotel, which was opened in Nadur’s main square just 10 months ago.

The aim is to provide modern, luxurious and comfortable rooms while, at the same time, working in conjunction with the community and local businesses. In fact, this hotel falls in line with the strategy of Quaint Boutique Hotels in setting up a chain of village boutique hotel properties on the island of Gozo.

“Essentially, the idea is that the village becomes part of the facilities of the hotel, thus promoting local businesses with both foreign and domestic tourists in Gozo,” explains Frankie Spiteri, the General Manager of Quaint Hotels.

The hotel, which was inaugurated on Sunday 6 March by prime minister Joseph Muscat, is only the first of three hotels opening this year, and first of five that will be launched in the next two years.

“The next Quaint Boutique Hotel will be opened in Sannat, while the one after that will be in Ghajnsielem,” continues Mr Spiteri. “This has been a fantastic journey so far, and the brand is moving forward at a much faster rate than we first anticipated.

“I think we have carved out a successful niche for ourselves in the hospitality industry, and we’re looking forward to continuing our work alongside the many other Gozitan businesses in years to come!”

The new Quaint Boutique Hotel in Xewkija, which is located just opposite the Parish Church, is now fully operational and accepting bookings.
