Valletta Cruise Port has been named as the Best Terminal Operator 2015 by Cruise Insight. This award recognises the impeccable service delivered by the port, and the continued development of its facilities in the last years.

Valletta Cruise Port representatives along with other stakeholders were attending Seatrade Cruise Global 2016, the cruise industry’s most authoritative professional showcase. Excellent passenger satisfaction ratings and recognition of Valletta’s port services and the destination itself were highlighted by all levels of senior management within the cruise lines.

In 2015 a sharp increase in the number of passenger movements calling Malta was registered with a total of 668,277 passenger movements recorded. This represents an increase of 150,683 passengers or a 29.1% increase on the previous year. 2016 is looking very positive and Valletta is expected to welcome over 700,000 passenger movements.

Valletta Cruise Port desires to record its appreciation to Malta Tourism Authority, Malta Gaming Authority, Malta International Airport and SMS International Shore Operations, as well as other stakeholders who are working with Valletta Cruise Port to support and grow the cruise sector in Malta.
