Malta is Huawei’s choice for top officials meeting
Chief executives and top officials from Huawei’s branches in Europe to meet in Malta
The President of Huawei’s western European region is set to hold talks with the Maltese government during a meeting of top Huawei officials set to take place in Malta over the weekend.
Parliamentary secretary José Herrera today announced that the Chinese telecoms giant will be convening its chief executives and top officials responsible of its European branches for a meeting on the island.
Huawei is set to draft its strategy for the European market. It employs over 10,000 people operating from 18 different research centres.
The Shenzhen-based company, which competes with Sweden's Ericsson for the top spot in the global market for communications towers and other infrastructure, said revenues would reach $60 billion for 2016.
