BOV launches free life cover initiative

All Bank of Valletta customers taking up an unsecured or partially secured BOV Personal Loan are now automatically entitled to a free life cover

The Bank of Valletta has become a pioneer financial services provider in the country by offering life insurance for free to people between the ages of 16 and 69.

Chief Officer Consumer Finance Bank Edward Grech announced that Bank of Valletta will be adding the benefit to its suite of BOV Personal Loans.

“At Bank of Valletta, we want to ensure that the benefits of offering the full suite of financial services accrue to the customer. In this case, we are giving a free life cover to every person taking up a BOV Personal Loan, thereby extending tangible added value and peace of mind,” he said during a seminar for BOV Mortgage Officers.

According to the bank’s statement, this initiative makes Bank of Valletta the first financial services provider in Malta to offer life cover completely free of charge.

“This benefit is available for all customers aged 16 to 69, for loan balances up to €25,000, whether they take up the facility in their individual name, or jointly with a third party.”

“Here Bank of Valletta is rewarding customers for their loyalty, whilst concurrently strengthening the working relationship between the customer and the Bank. For us, nurturing a healthy long-term working relationship with every individual customer is integral to our way of doing business, and it is what has always distinguished us,” concluded Grech.
