Marks & Spencer choose Shireburn software for Malta and Libya outlets

Distributors of Marks & Spencer in Malta and Libya, Supermarkets (1960) Ltd and Retail International Ltd respectively, have chosen Shireburn Software to power their business.

All five retail shops in both countries as well as all back-office systems switched to Shireburn’s software solutions on the 1st October.

The Shireburn Business Suite software has enabled a fully integrated solution from one vendor covering 360 degrees of operations from point-of-sale operations to back office inventory, order processing and voucher management amongst others, integrating with the M&S systems in the UK.

The software helps avoid a duplication of data entry, better automation, improvements in productivity and controls and in enhancing customer service.

The switch to the new systems, which consisted of 37 retail POSs, happened overnight.

“This was a very ambitious project and we had just one opportunity to get it right,” Retail International’s IT manager Sergio Schembri said. “The team at Shireburn have been very effective and professional in ensuring the success of this project.”
