Birdlife Malta against masterplans that impact conservation areas

Birdlife Malta have said that they are against any masterplan that impacts directly or indirectly areas designated as Special Areas of Conservation (SAC).

The NGO stressed that light pollution, especially from high rise buildings, must be considered especially since this could be detrimental to sea birds in particular shearwaters and other nocturnal migrating birds.
