Community hub for disabled persons approved in Naxxar
The large complex forms part of government’s plan to have various community facilities for the disabled
A large complex catering for persons with disabilities will be built in Naxxar after the Planning Authority today gave the green light.
The complex, a government project, will be built next to the former trade fair grounds and consists of four fully detached blocks.
The complex will include residences, retail outlets, office space, workshops, a hostel, a therapy centre and a gym.
The purpose of the project is to create a community hub where persons with a disability living on or visiting the site can have full access to all facilities.
An underground car park will also be built.
The project forms part of government’s plan called Socjeta Gusta to create community facilities for disabled persons.
