Strawberry tart
Robert's simple strawberry tart recipe is the perfect dessert to make during strawberry season
Serves 1
Ingredients
Pastry cream filling
- 240ml milk
- 2tbsp sugar
- pinch of salt
- 2tbsp corn flour
- 2 drops of vanilla
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 whole egg
- 21g unsalted butter
Method
- Bring the milk to a boil and remove from heat.
- In a bowl, whisk the salt, corn flour, sugar and eggs until you achieve a smooth consistency.
- Add the mixture to the milk and simmer.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the cream has reached the desired density.
- Place the mixture in a tart shell or in a bowl.
- Decorate with local fresh strawberries.
- Place in fridge for 2 hours.
