Online booking services for restaurants

The MHRA and BeeGuides Ltd had teamed up last year to develop a comprehensive list of restaurants, snack bars and wine bars in Malta and Gozo, and have developed the service to include online reservations. Together with GO plc customers will be able to make a direct reservation while browsing the internet.

The www.dineinmalta.com website features all catering establishments licensed with the Malta Tourism Authority, and provides information according to cuisine, type of outlet, locality and area of specialty.

The facility is available for those restaurants whose listing on dineinmalta.com is either gold or silver, together with being a member of the MHRA.“We are sure that more restaurateurs will see the advantage of this platform to increase their bookings and more will come onboard to give their customers the opportunity of booking through the internet. In this manner, the public is also being better served,” MHRA CEO, George Schembri, stated during the launch.

The option for establishments to upgrade their listing on the website and provide further information about their services and cuisine through additional photos will remain available to all those that would like to be more visible to the public.  

BeeGuides Ltd will retain the management of the website, and will carry out joint promotional activities, together with MHRA.  MHRA will continue to encourage establishments to market their outlets and services in a more effective manner.  

 MHRA’s ‘Recommended Label’ restaurants benefit from a higher listing on the website. These will be featured with a ‘Recommended’ button denoting that the establishment is committed to deliver quality service and value for money to customers.

MHRA encourages all catering establishments to visit the site to ensure that all details and information provided is correct.
