Cynosure European Symposium held in Malta

Cynosure, a leading developer and manufacturer of a broad array of light-based aesthetic treatment systems from USA, chose Malta as the destination for their annual EU symposium. 

Over 180 delegates from more than 25 different countries, including the USA, Europe, Russia & the Middle East shared the latest trends & techniques in the laser and light-based med-aesthetic industry. Local aesthetic doctors have been also invited and attended the symposium.

The event was held over three days, with the main sessions taking place at the Corinthia St. George’s Bay Resort and live workshops at Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre in Ta’ Xbiex.

World renowned experts in the field of Plastic Surgery and Dermatology gave talks on the latest innovations & advances in non-invasive med-aesthetic procedures, including facial rejuvenation, body contouring, tattoo removal and various dermatological treatments. Most of the sessions included live demonstrations that featured the most effective treatments for various aesthetic & dermatological needs, using cutting-edge technology.

Top speakers included Dr. Larry Bass (USA) and Dr. Klaus Hoffmann (Germany). Dr. Bass is an innovator and authority on advanced technologies in aesthetic plastic surgery who is frequently called upon to offer his expertise to the national media, such as CNN, The CBS Early Show, Fox News, Allure, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

Hoffmann, who presented the frontiers of Tattoo Removal, is an early adopter of picosecond technology, and has extensive clinical experience with Cynosure’s PicoSure laser that is clinically proven to successfully treat the full color spectrum of tattoo inks. He has lectured at more than 1000 medical seminars around the world, has participated in more than 100 clinical trials and is the author of 200 peer reviewed papers and eight books.

A highlight of the event was the surgical session transmitted live from Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre’s Operating Theatre to delegates at the Corinthia. The focus during this live demo was on Facial Laser Rejuvenation, particularly on laser contouring for smaller areas such as neck and jawline using Cynosure’s SmartLipo PrecisionTX technology.
