Health Ministry to investigate use of expired drugs

The health ministry has said that it is investigating a case where an expired drug was used on a patient in intensive care at Mater Dei Hospital.

In a statement, the ministry said that a board of experts has been asked to investigate the allegations. The ministry reiterated that its policy is for all medicines to be used in the intended manner and before their expiry date.
