19% increase in Maltese flying to Mauritius with Emirates
In 2010-11, Emirates recorded significant growths in passengers travelling to Mauritius from various markets, with Malta registering an increase of 19% over the same period the previous year.
Emirates airline is now introducing two additional flights between Dubai and the paradise island, escalating the service to 11 weekly flights.
The 10th frequency will be launched on 4 November while the 11th weekly flight will start on 6 December, thus increasing existing capacity by 22% per week per direction. The two additional flights will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays.
“We are standing by the destination at a time when the international outlook for travel is uncertain,” said Majid Al Mualla, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, West Asia & Indian Ocean. “Our decision to introduce these extra flights is the result of our long-term partnership with Mauritius.”
The additional flights will increase the travel options for Maltese visiting Mauritius. Emirates Holidays’ annual brochure – A World of Choice – dedicates significant attention to honeymoon, adventure and general family vacations in Mauritius.
Emirates operates flights on a daily schedule from Malta to Dubai via Larnaka, Cyprus.
