Two winners in our Air Malta photographic competition
Four tickets for two winners in Air Malta photographic competion.
We have decided to award two winners for their photos in our Air Malta travel photography competition. They are Darren Scicluna from Amsterdam, who sent us the great shot of Grand Central station in New York; and Cheryl Caruana who lives in Brussels, with her picture of Buddhist monks in Laos.
Scicluna said the movie "Baraka" inspired him to capture the motion of people and static surrounding buildings. "Considering the countless times seeing this iconic place, in movies, the news and papers you will have to see it with your own eyes to believe what an astonishing and mesmerising site it really is."
Cheryl Caruana said she took her photo early in the morning from the balcony of her hotel room in Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage city in Laos. "The scene depicts Buddhist monks collecting morning alms. Every morning at 6am in Luang Prabang the local monks walk along the roads near their monastery to collect alms from the locals. The vibrant orange colour of the monks' robes inspired me to snap this shot. The temple in the background is the Wat Sene Souk temple."
A big thank you to all readers who submitted their great entries. See all their photos on our Flickr page
