Malta beginning to reap the results of Taste of Malta networking events
Malta is beginning to see the results of face-to-face networking strategy with UK Meetings, Incentive, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) partners.
The director of Malta Tourism Authority’s London office Alex Incorvaja said recently “Our commitment to increasing face-to-face networking with key MICE industry players both in the UK and Malta is bearing fruit and we look forward to seeing some tangible results in the near future.”
He said that Malta remains one the most popular short-haul destinations for the MICE market and this approach helps reinforce the island’s versatility and flexibility in developing bespoke programmes for groups of between 20 and 5,000.
Incorvaja was speaking at the third Taste of Malta networking event, which was held last month at No.5 Cavendish in Cavendish Square, London.
The event was attended by 100 buyers who were treated to a menu of Mediterranean delicacies and a sample of Malta’s hospitality with chair masseuses, cosmetics consultants and cocktail maestros, all set against a backdrop of chilled vibes and funky house music reflecting Malta’s diverse offering.
Representatives of Alpine Sterling Travel & Tourism, Events Travel & Incentives, On Site Malta, Corinthia Hotels, Grand Hotel Excelsior, Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz, Radisson Blu Resort St Julians, the Westin Dragonara Resort and Air Malta were present at the event.
Taste of Malta was organised by the MTA’s London office with the support of Marsovin and Farsons together with London-based event management company Beyond Certainty and powered by CIT magazine, a trade MICE publication.
