MTA encourages voting for Valletta as European Best Destination 2015
Valletta is currently ranking in of the top 10 positions
Following Valletta’s nomination as one of the top 20 European Best Destinations 2015, the Malta Tourism Authority is encouraging all those who have not as yet voted to do so from the following link: www.ebd2015.com.
The voting will be open till Tuesday 10 February.
Based on information provided to the MTA by the organisers, Valletta is currently ranking in one of the top 10 positions. In order to maintain this high-ranking position and potentially push on to finish in first place, the MTA would like to appeal to all those who have not yet cast their vote to do so before the closing date of Tuesday 10 February.
The European Best Destinations (EBD) is a European organization based in Brussels to promote tourism in Europe. EBD works with numerous tourism offices in Europe to promote a better understanding of the wealth, diversity and quality of European destinations.
The coveted title of European Best Destination has become synonymous with European excellence.
“Valletta being nominated for the title of European Best Destination 2015 is a great honour and we must take full advantage of this prestigious nomination as the Best Destination for 2015. By performing well in this competition, both Valletta and Malta in general will benefit from greater publicity,” MTA CEO Paul Bugeja said.
“To further encourage tourists to visit the Maltese Islands throughout the calendar year, particularly in the shoulder months, our Islands offer a vast and varied calendar of events which cater to the tastes of different individuals”.
