In his initial reaction to the Opposition leader’s budgetary reply, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat described Simon Busttil as being “destructive”.
“He was destructive, focusing on personal attacks. His speech was full of mistakes,” Muscat added.
Accusing Busuttil of being “negative”, Muscat said the speech “can be classified as one of the least prepared full of mistakes and lies”.
The Prime Minister will give his reaction tomorrow evening in parliament, reiterating that he will point out the mistakes but also speak of the things “that interest families”.
Asked whether he would reduce fuel prices and energy tariffs, Muscat said that “this was one of the things that Busuttil has no idea what he’s talking about.”
