White paper on medicines published

The government has published the white paper on medicines for public consultation.

The white paper, 'ensuring your right to entitlement medicines at the time you require them', was launched on Saturday by Health Minister Godfrey Farrugia.

A consultation period will now follow with all stakeholders, the general public and non-governmental organisations, between 26 November and 17 January.

"All those interested may attend one of four public consultations which will take place in Malta and Gozo," the Ministry for Health said.

More details about these public consultations will be announced in due course. As indicated in the white paper, comments and suggestions are also being received online.
