One year old injured in Luqa traffic accident

A one year and nine-month-old boy was rushed to Mater Dei’s emergency ward after being involved in a Luqa traffic accident.

Police said that around 10:30 am, they were informed of a traffic accident in Aviation Road, Luqa.

Preliminary investigations showed that a 31-year-old man who resides in St Paul’s Bay was driving a Range Rover when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed.

The infant was in the car, and suffered from serious injuries, while the man did not sustain any.

An ambulance was called to the scene of the incident, before taking the young boy to hospital, where he was certified from his injuries.

Investigations are underway by district police.
