Elderly women grievously injured after being hit by car

An 86-year-old woman was grievously injured after being hit by a car in Paola on Thursday evening.

The incident occurred at 7:10pm in Triq Tal-Borg.

Police said the woman was hit by a Honda Jazz driven by a 43-year-old Libyan man from Fgura.

A police investigation is ongoing.
