Man hit by car in Gzira

A 56-year-old man was hospitalised following a traffic accident in Gzira on Monday evening.

The accident took place around 6pm in Triq Xatt il-Gzira.

Police said the pedestrian was hit by a Mercedes driven by a 51-year-old Egyptian residing in Sliema.

The man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment.

A police investigation is ongoing.
