Woman hospitalised after being hit by car in Pembroke

A woman was hospitalised following a traffic accident in Pembroke on Wednesday evening.

The accident occurred at 6pm in Triq Burma.

Police said a 49-year-old woman from Pembroke was hit by a Nissan Qashqai vehicle driven by a 47-year-old man also from Pembroke.

The victim was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment, where she was certified to be suffering from serious injuries.

A police investigation is ongoing.
