Cash stolen in Paola hold-up

An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from a shop in Paola on Wednesday, the police said in a statement.

The incident occurred at 10pm at a shop in De Paule Square. A man entered the shop and demanded money from the cashier, a 50-year-old woman.

The accused then fled with the cash.

A police investigation is ongoing.
