Man seriously injured in Birżebbuġa traffic accident

A 54-year-old man has been diagnosed with serious injuries after he was involved in a traffic accident in Birżebbuġa on Monday.

The police said the accident happened at around 3:15pm in Triq Ħal Far, after the victim’s Mazda 2 was involved in a collision with a MAN ready-mix driven by a 31-year-old man from Dingli.

Civil Protection Department members assisted in the victim’s rescue, before he was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified for his injuries.

Duty magistrate Kevan Azzopardi has launched an inquiry, and police investigations are ongoing.
