Senglea stabbing | Father acquitted after son forgives him
A father who injured his son with a knife during a domestic argument in Senglea yesterday, was acquitted this morning after his son forgave him.
Magistrate Antonio Mizzi this morning cleared Manwel Gauci of Senglea of all charges related to yesterday's domestic incident, where a 16 year-old boy suffered injuries.
Manwel Gauci stood in the dock after a spending the night in custody, while his son told the court that he was forgiving his father.
"It was just an argument, and everything is fine between us," the boy told Magistrate Mizzi, adding that all he suffered was a slight injury to his shoulder.
Magistrate Mizzi cleared Manwel Gauci from the charges after the prosecution declared that it was surrendering the case. Mizzi however warned Gauci to be cautious.
