Man mugged in St Paul's Bay

A 68-year-old man from St Paul's Bay suffered some injuries after being mugged in St Paul's Bay just before 6am on Friday.

The Police said a hooded man approached the victim in Triq il-Kahli, St Paul's Bay and asked him for money. The Police believe that the hooded man used pepper spray before taking off with around €6,000 in cash and a number of cheques.

The Police added that the victim was taken to hospital where he is being treated for some injuries and also noted that the cash and cheques were later retrieved.
