Pigeon thief arraigned

Joseph Chetcuti, 22, was yesterday arrested and arraigned over charges of stealing objects and other objects from a property in Tarxien and causing damage on the same property.

The man from Bormla appeared in front of Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera accused of stealing pigeons and other objects whose value was below €2,329.37 between 8 and 9 December 2012.

He was also accused of causing damage to the property which did not exceed €1164.69. Chetcuti pleaded guilty to the charges and was granted bail by the Court.
