The former Enemalta CFO, Tarcisio Mifsud, is among those who have been questioned by police on the commissions-for-oil investigation.

Former Enemalta Chief Financial Officer Tarcisio Mifsud was interrogated by police yesterday at length, based on the substantial deposition given by oil trader George Farrugia - who has turned State's evidence - on the allegations of kickbacks paid by commodities firms whom Farrugia represented, for the supply of oil to Enemalta.

It is not known whether the Enemalta board members mentioned by Farrugia have also been interrogated by the police.

MaltaToday had asked Finance Minister Tonio Fenech to comment on reports that Farrugia had given gifts to former Enemalta board members. MaltaToday is informed that another two individuals may be arraigned by police in connection with the oil scandals.
