Italian man injured in fall at Gnejna

A 58-year-old Italian man had to be airlifted by an Armed Forces helicopter after falling down from a cliff in Gnejna.

The Police said the man fell at around 2:30pm and could not be retrieved from the spot in which he landed.

After being assisted by persons who happened to be on the spot, the Civil Protection Department and the AFM rescued the man, who was taken to Mater Dei Hospital.

The man's condition is not yet known.
