Passenger suffers grievous injuries after Iklin traffic accident

A 22-year-old man from Haz-Zebbug and a 23-year-old man residing in Birkirkara were hospitalised earlier today due to injuries suffered when they were involved in a traffic incident in Triq il-Wied, Iklin.

According to the police, the younger man was driving his car towards Naxxar when he lost control of the car and hit the pavement and a lamppost.

The second man was a passenger. The two were taken to Mater Dei Hospital where the passenger was certified to be suffering from grievous injuries while the drive suffered slight injuries.

Police investigation is ongoing.
