PN media company faces garnishee orders, bank freezes funds
Media.Link Communications, the PN’s media house issued with two garnishee orders as APS Bank freezes company’s funds.
Two garnishee orders have been issued today by Court against the Nationalist Party's media company, Media.link Communications, as a bank froze the company's funds.
APS Bank froze Media.link funds, however in a letter to the Court Registrar, the bank said the amount was insufficient to cover the expenses involved and it could not proceed with the deposit of the funds in court.
The Malta Communications Authority, which is trying to obtain €13,400 in unpaid administrative services to Ping, the now defunct mobile phone subsidiary of Media.Link submitted the first of the two garnishee orders.
The authority explained that two official letters were sent to the PN in January and February requesting payments which were due in 2011, however the payments were never received.
However, the party has said that the garnishee order regarding the MCA is expected to be lifted on Thursday after an agreement was struck between the two parties.
In a second garnishee order, Integrated Electronics said it was requesting payment of €376 in unpaid supplies.
