Man hit by car, suffers grievous injuries
A 32-year-old pedestrian from Marsaskala suffered grievous injuries after he was hit by a car in Mtarfa.

A 32-year-old man from Marsaskala is suffering from grievous injuries after he was hit by a car in Mtrafa last night.
The incident happened at around 8:30pm in Triq il-Maltin Internati u Eziljati.
Police said the man was walking along the street when a he was hit by a Toyota Tercel, driven by a 22-year-old man from Rabat.
An ambulance was called on site to take the injured man to hospital.
Police investigation is ongoing.

Overspeeding in this road is a common phenomena and the authorities should ensure that this does not happen especially by trucks and other heavy vehicles. This road is frequented by a large number of people from the very early hours in the morning, who stroll up and down the road. Overspeeding is putting people's lives at risk. The authorities concerned should please note and take appropriate action.
