Drug search leads to nine arrests

A drug search carried out yesterday by the police at a party in Ta' Qali led to the arrest of six men and three women who were found in possession of drugs.

The persons are from Bormla, Kirkop, Marsaskala, Qormi, Gharghur and Imtarfa. The police found them to be in possession of cocaine, ecstasy, cannabis and mephedrone.

The quantities found on two of the arrested persons were meant for trafficking, the police said.
